NSFW: Charlie Barnett As Ben Marshall Gets Real Naked in Tales of the City, but Charlie Barnett Nude is Not Why I Love Ben.

Netflix’s 2019 Continuation of Tales of the City isn’t why about Nudity

Charlie Barnett As Ben Marshall has stolen my whole fucking heart. Honestly, he’s the understanding hunky man that makes Mouse’s daddy-power-bottom work. Below we have almost all the nudity from Charlie Barnett in Tales of the City, but there’s something important here.

The Ben + Mouse story in Tales of the City may be one of the more explicit ones, but every inch of skin is earned emotionally and builds toward the end.

The Beginning

Ben and Mouse are introduced when the storm that is Laura Linney’s Mary Ann Singleton comes to the 90th birthday party celebrating Olympia Dukakis’ Anna Madrigal. We see right away that Ben and Mary clash a little, but it’s all in the name of Mouse.

When they go upstairs, we are given the sexy ben in the Snuggie-knock-off known as the Bloodie that Mary is doing the infomercials for and has given as a gift to every character she runs in too. But, he pulls it off.

Once Ben and Mouse make it into the bed we are greeted by a sex scene that’s more honest than anything I’ve ever seen on a Queer as Folk episode. Showing that Tales of the City still has their mojo for pushing boundaries by simply being more honest than other shows. We even see the condom wrapper. Be safe out there!

Ben’s ass deserves its own image by itself because… just… I…

Get A Little closer look at his beautiful butt, here.

A Little Later

Ben and Mouse seem to be doing well, and we get to see Ben rock a slightly leather get-up, and he pulls it off for sure.

Honestly, they’re so great together, and the chemistry just oozes off the screen. I’m rooting for them by the time any mention of conflict outside of Mary begins to surface.

The conversation that claims so many relationships ends up (more or less) claiming Ben & Mouse as a couple. Should they move in together? Can Mouse afford anything more than a room at his ex-boyfriend’s place? They end up calling it quits at a wedding. Then, the final nail in the coffin comes when Ben has been pursuing a favor for Mouse, only to find that it was a red herring.

It goes without saying that I hope Ben gets a storyline in the next season (Due out next year!). Because, they have successfully made me care for someone I had assumed was a side character.

I cried.

Twice.
